About the author
The author grew up in the wild Rocky Mountains with wild hikes, motorcycle rides, horseback riding and a love for nature, gardening and animals. A move to the flat prairies allowed this to develop further with the purchase of a quarter section farm. After trying to learn about cows with wild Dexters, she switched to tame Jerseys and then after experience with milking and sick cow care, she reverted back to Dexters and even brought a few down with her 10 years after she married. She has 15 years experience with dexters (good grief, when did I get that old. . . )
She has been married for 10 years to the world's most patient and enabling man ;) and has 5 lovely children to keep busy homeschooling and just enjoying life with. They have English Shepherds, Dexter cows, Jersey x Dexter (for the fun of experimenting!), American Guinea Hogs, a variety of chickens, large garden and greenhouses and are addicted to building hoop houses and rotational grazing.
